St. Jakobshalle in Basel, the epicentre of Swiss sport, is a multi-purpose sports arena with a capacity of 6,500.

On 8 April 2023, Swiss handball made history in the St. Jakobshalle. At the World Cup play-off match against the Czech Republic, 3,124 handball fans attended the match of the women's national team. This almost doubled the previous audience record. The event was considered the throw-off event for the Women's EHF EURO 2024. In November and December 2024, the Swiss Handball Federation has the ambitious goal of playing in front of more than 6,000 spectators.

In Basel, the teams will compete in preliminary round groups C and D for a place in the main round.

While the Swiss team is seeded in Group D as the host, co-favourites France will be seeded in Group C – if they successfully qualify.

Főnix Aréna in Debrecen, Eastern Hungary, is the newly renovated multi-purpose sports arena with a capacity of 6,500.

The arena ground is surrounded by a retractable tribune system on all sides. The building boasts 4+1 elevators, cafeterias and cloakrooms on each level as well as six locker rooms for teams. There are also private changing rooms available for special guests, closed commentator stands, background rooms for TV companies, a large storeroom, a restaurant, offices and meeting rooms on the first floor and 30 VIP boxes, too.

In Debrecen, the teams will compete in preliminary round groups A and B for a place in the main round.

While the Hungarian team is seeded in Group A as the host, the top team from Montenegro – bronze medallist of the last European Championship – will be seeded in Group B if they successfully qualify.

Debrecen will also be the venue for the main round group I, in which the top 2 teams from the preliminary round groups A, B and C will compete for a place in the final weekend.

Olympiahalle, part of the complex of buildings called „Olympiaworld Innsbruck“, can look back on a long history: The hall was already built in 1964 – for the first Olympic Winter Games to be hosted in Austria.

With its capacity of 8,000 spectators, and consolidation of state-of-the-art amenities and services, the Olympiaworld offers event organisers and sport event operators perfect overall conditions.

In Innsbruck, the teams will compete in preliminary round groups E and F for a place in the main round.

Austria will be seeded in Group E as the host. Neighbouring Germany will play their matches in Group F if they successfully qualify.

With over 300 events and around one million visitors each year, Wiener Stadthalle is Austria’s largest event centre and one of Europe’s top arenas, with a capacity of 10,000.

The Wiener Stadthalle will be the venue for the main round group II. The two best-placed teams of the preliminary round groups D, E and F will move to Vienna for the main round.

The Wiener Stadthalle will experience its highlight with the staging of the final weekend on 13 and 15 December 2024.
